I love beads and would like to start making beaded jewelry and things. I have no experience in doing this. Is there a website or book or anything that is very easy to get me started and work my way up to bracelets and other things?

I make beaded jewelry. What is the best way to sell it?
Bead Table Wednesday - new necklaces

I've considered craft fairs/city festivals and the internet. Do you have any other creative ideas for places to sell beaded jewelry?

Friends and Work are the best way to start out and spread word of mouth.
Try church and school fairs where you can buy a table for the day. $10-$50/day
The Craft Fairs/Festivals are usually a lot more expensive and you sometimes need to provide pictures of your work to apply.
Etsy.com is a great way to put your stuff on the internet.

How can I find contacts to purchase my handcrafted Native American beaded jewelry?
Light Green Scarab Beetle Tribal African Bead Hemp Bracelet/Anklet

My husband and I have a Native American crafts business that deals mostly in hand beaded jewelry. We normally travel the powwow trail but with gas prices the way they are it is making it very hard to cover expences. I have decided to try wholesaling my jewelry. I would still earn an honest living and cut out all the aggrivation of traveling. But have no idea how to reach contacts and let the word out. I do this full-time, so production is no problem. I have a paypal account already set up. Most of my bases are covered except getting product out on the market. Does anyone have realistic ideas or would even be interested?

I would look into this site for crafters and other artisans to sell their work through. It is really really cheap to post listings.

http://www.etsy.com

If you decide to do something like that, afterward I'd advertise yourself as much as you can online and however else, and submit your shop/page URL of it to freebie search engine submit things. Good luck! : )

I've attended a home, beaded jewelry party. What was the name of the company?
Rasta African Glass Beaded Hemp Bracelet/Anklet

I attended a beaded jewelry party at a co-workers house and I no longer work at that job (and only associated with this person at work). Now I need to get a bracelet that I bought adjusted and do not know the company that the lady went through. The consultant showed samples of jewelry made and selections of loose beads, toggles, tubes, etc. and the attendees got tray to arrange loose beads so that we essentially could design our own jewelry, using glass beads, puter beads, and different toggles, etc. Then the consultant would write down our design, sent off the order and the company would string up the jewelry for us to our specifications, then mail the jewelry to the hostess of the party. The items were custom fit. We were told we could send back our jewelry at any time to have sizing adjustments, etc. for a fee. Does anyone work for or know of this company? How could I get in touch with them?

How do I knot beaded jewelry?
Teal Hawaiian Prayer Bead Bracelet

I've started getting into making beaded jewelry. I have had some trouble with tieing the elastic string at the ends. Is there any trick? Or is there something I can put over the knot to make it stay tied? Like a glue or something? Any help would be appreciated, I think everyones getting tired of picking up a piece of jewelry and having beads go everywhere!

To "knot" your jewelry get 4 crimp beads. At each end of the necklace, bracelet, ECT. make a loop (not a knot) and put two crimp beads on holding the loop together. Use pliars or some tool like that to scrunch the crimp beads flat. BEFORE you do that though you should put a clasp on one side (place it in the loop) and then put on the srimp beads.

Hope I helped!
