Luxury and Jewelry

It says on their that there's an ingredient that can cause cancer if taken internally. I'm wondering if I should be using it at all. I also read that jewelry cleaners are bad if you breathe it in. Is it bad if you're using it and just happen to smell it in the air?

I have tried just basic cleaners from the store, and it doesn't seem to do much. Help!

Check for Qwicksilver. It works great and there is no rubbing involved.

I heard once that the kind of ultrasonic cleaner the jewelry stores use are different than the ones that are available retail, and that the ones you can buy are not safe for gemstones. is this true?

My jewelers use a steam blower machine of some kind to clean my rings with. I think the ultrasonic machines are OK to use but not on soft stones like emeralds, pearls, or opals, or treated stones like mystic topaz, and I don't think they work on sterling silver either. I use one of those little containers of liquid with a small brush, soak my rings, then brush gently and rinse. Shines them up and doesn't damage them. I mostly use this on my diamond rings and earrings.

Am I better off just using an old toothbrush and water and amonia?

YEs they are great.. but use the sonic toothbrush with the cleaner and you'll get super clean jewelry
