Luxury and Jewelry

I know it's non-tarnishing, but is there any you can get that the finish won't wear off? I usually buy the silver plated and withing a week or less, this silver is gone on the back of the ring and copper is peeking thru. I think it makes my jewelry look cheap, is there any way to prevent this. I just cannot afford sterling wire for my rings, bracelets and necklaces.

What brand of wire are you using? Not all are created equal. The Wild Wire brand (usually in Michaels) is a little dodgy. Try Artistic or BeadSmith brands. The BeadSmith brand works especially well for me and I make clasps out of the larger gauges. With as much wear as they get, the wire stays silver-colored.
