I have been making them for some time- started as hobby but now I would like to sale them also as this is an expensive hobby. As the markets are flooded with glittering and cheap jewelry from China, is there any market for my work?

i have been making handmade neckpieces and other wearable art and i love using copperwire in various thickness/gauges...they're really beautiful on murano glass beads..
Anyway, this morning i was suddenly thinking if it's bad on the skin or something like avoid getting near electrically charged stuff...ridiculous, paranoid, but is it safe at all?

I also enjoy working with copper--it's beautiful, isn't it? I've really only had two problems with it. Firstly, it'll screw you up if you're sensitive to metals (i.e. not so good for ear wires) and I've found that it reacts badly with some people's skin chemistry (particularly my own--it turns me green). However, I've found that applying some sort of spray lacquer or fixative prevents the skin turning, although it does need to be reapplied periodically.

I make copper wire jewelry and it turns like the next, can anyone help
me? And can anyone tell me how to make my jumprings strong and keep them from falling apart! ( I use 20 guage copper)

Sorry, What I mean is that when I make my jewelry it turns green the next day, does anyone know how to keep it from turning green? And does anyone know how to make strong jumprings? Mine are too flexible and some how fall off.

I want to get into making wire jewelry but I'm not sure what wire I need to buy. What's the best gauge? Which metal is the easiest to work with and what should i look for when buying wire? Also, does copper wire for jewelry making turn green or has it been treated to keep it from changing?
I really want to make rings. I met a woman in Florida that makes these really cool wire rings with a kind of flat-ish wire. She said it was a technique used by the Egyptians back in the day. But she also told me to put my ring in a bag with a crystal to "clean" other peoples energies off of it... So... I'm not sure how much she said was true. But, yeah... I'd like to try my hand at that.

Join the Yahoo group "Wire_Wrap_Jewelry". There's tons of info their "Files" and "Links" sections, and many experienced people who are always happy to answer questions. It is a very active forum, with a few "sister groups" where you can post pictures, buy/sell items, etc.
Copper is cheap and easy for a beginner. You can buy coated copper wire, that will not tarnish. It comes in a variety of colors. You can buy this at your local craft store, or online at a few sites like www.parawire.com or www.artisticwire.com. Natural copper will tarnish over time, but can be cleaned. You could also try brass or nickel wire. When you're ready to step up to using precious metals (silver and gold), I would recommend www.monsterslayer.com. They also sell copper, brass and nickel wire.
You can also buy some wire jewelry tutorials online. One of my favorites is www.enioken.com. She is a VERY talented wire artisan, and has a few tutorials for beginners. Try searching "wire jewelry" on amazon, and you'll find some good books. I have used "woven wire jewelry" by linda chandler, that really got me into working with wire. I have heard good things about "All Wired Up" by Mark Lareau.
If you're interested in working with a jig, check out www.wigjig.com. They make some wonderful, VERY sturdy jigs, and have TONS of free jewelry "how to's".

What can i do with copper wire other than make jewelry?
i have a roll of it sitting there staring at me...

Scrap value is around $3.00 a pound, or more.

If you don't want to do that, find an electrician to sell it to.
