handle jewelry watch

How can I best go about selling a large amount of new fine jewelry, meant for a store that never opened?

I was left a large amount of jewelry and loose stones that was originally supposed to be the inventory for a new jewelry store. I'm overwhelmed by the amount and value of these items. Please don't say to go to eBay; it makes my head spin! The eBay 'sellers' take 30% or more and don't like to sell jewelry anyway. I'm responsible for handling this wisely but I don't feel very wise. There are diamond rings, bracelets, earrings, watches, etc. plus more gemstones than I can name in addition to the more common ones, like ruby, sapphire, emerald, etc. I know a lot of items are rare. I thought I should look for someone who wants to open a store but I don't know where to look or who to trust. Does anyone have experience in this area? Your advice will be welcome and very much appreciated. This has been stressing me so much for almost six months and now "the natives are getting restless." Please help! Thank You in advance...

You might try finding someone looking to open a store as you suggest doing. They are not likely to pay what you think the value is as they will have to make a profit when they sell. If the items sell for what they are worth and were purchased at reasonable wholesale price, even giving 30% to an eBay seller should give you some profit. There are always pawn shops but they too are looking to make a profit and are usually shopped at by individuals looking for a good deal so again, you are not going to come out ahead of an eBay seller. You can always learn how to sell on eBay and market the items yourself. Hopefully you have the appropriate credentials to accuratly appraise the items or they have come with appraisals done by a qualified agency.

My boyfriends 25 y/o son stole an expensive gold watch from me while he was housesitting. What should I do?

His son (who has a criminal past) also stole my boyfriends ring and my cell phone, both of which he admits to and gave back. But he denies stealing my $2000 watch which was hidden in the same hiding spot only in a different jewelry box. I filed a report with the police which I feel was the right thing to do, but now I feel bad because it is embarrassing and disappointing for my boyfriend. He is quiet and does not want to hear my feelings. He says quote "Well there' not much I can do" and gets upset when I tell him how I'm feeling. What should I do, what is the best way to handle this situation?

What would you do to handle a completely out of control 14 yr. old boy?

Ok, here's the story. My fiance's mother is raising her daughter's 3 children because she passed when her last child was only 2 weeks old and the children's father has been in prison. The oldest child is 14, he's completely out of control! We are at the end of the rope, we have no idea as of what to do anymore, what our options are or anything. My fiance and his family are black, we reside in a white neighborhood mostly, it's hard enough on his family now as it is, but his nephew is making it worse. White people are already rude enough to black folks (NOT ALL, but some, most in my town.. ) and when they see cops constantly at his mothers house, it's giving her a bad image. It's gotten out of control. It's so bad that when the boy walks out of the house down the street and stops to talk to one of his "friends", cops swarm in. My fiances mother is embarrassed. She's a church going woman who feels like she's failed somewhere down the line. She's tried everything. He's only 14, but yet sells drugs, steals money, bikes, jewelry, prescription pills.. etc. My fiance and I are in our early 20's and we haven't done half the stuff he's done. The cops won't do anything about it, they won't send him to juvie! Kinda makes me wonder why not because if it was any one of us, we would have been locked up in a heartbeat. He just stole $1,000 and a watch from some man than punched his daughter in the mouth than ran... it SHOCKS me because I do not expect that from a 14 yr. old child. What are some idea's to help us? Some serious idea's? We need major help. Cops won't send him anywhere.. She can't send him to military boot camp because he has no "record" and/or isn't willing to go.. And we've tried talking some sence into him but we've made ourselves blue in the face.
First, it's not grand theft auto if ur not stealing a vehicle.. it's a bicycle. Second, hittin' ur child is illegal.. plus I'm talkin' about a black woman.. this isn't a white woman, this is a black woman who would do some serious damage if she were to hit this boy and I'm sure she doesn't wanna go to jail herself. Third, his mother died when he was super young and barely knew either parent, I understand his pain and I could imagine it'd be hard but that isn't an excuse to throw away his life and make someone live hell who was nice enough to take u in. And as for the man who made the comment to see wit my eyes and not wit my eyes, U DO NOT KNOW ME. I am marryin' my fiance because of who HE IS, not because of who is family is. There's nothin' wrong wit my fiance, my fiance is not the one on the stand here and we don't live wit his family so it's not our problem. I'm only tryin' to help the woman out because I care about her.
I mean see wit my eyes, not thighs. Ur rude.

I agree, he has had a difficult life but that does NOT excuse this behavior...LIFE...Everyones Life is about CHOICES...My son is 14 as well, my 2 daughters are 12 and 17...they haven't had it easy either..13 years ago (5 weeks before my 12 year old was born) My Husband and My Oldest son were both killed in a tragic drowning accident up in Yosemite Park. I have never re-married...but I have kept my children on the Straight and Narrow by keeping them involved in Sports and Family oriented Activities..INSISTING on GOOD GRADES...always being there for them and being involved in their lives and KNOWING when to say unequivocally NO! Keeping a VERY CLOSE EYE ON THEIR ASSOCIATES and FRIENDS.It is going to be VERY difficult to try and turn this boy around at this Juncture but NOT impossible...SOMEONE HAS to Step-Up and take control of him and get him Involved in Worthwhile Activities and hanging around with WORTHWHILE Associates...Otherwise he is a LOST CAUSE!~

how do I handle this w/out coming across selfish or rude?!!?

this kind of stems off of my other question...

been w/my bf for almost 4 years now. we've talked marriage but nothing has happened yet (he's dragging his feet really bad). we do live together (for a year now) and he helps me raise my 3 little girls that we have part-time. he's a really good and super sweet guy and I love him w/all my heart. we recently have been looking at bigger houses to buy since ours is kind of small (he bought it before he met me and 3 kids lol). I see this as a huge and good step.

he knows I want to get married and I realize that I should have enforced us getting engaged prior to moving in with him so please don't bash me for that-I was afraid i'd lose him if i stuck to my guns and stayed living apart.

but now I feel like 4 years is long enough-my kids call him "daddy mike" and have been for about a year now. he refers to them in public as his kids.

I don't really want OR need anything for christmas and the engagement ring would (finally) be nice. I don't know how to really tell him that I don't want anything else for christmas!! now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I won't be happy with getting anything he buys me but I just really feel like I have everything else that I want and need. He bought me a beautiful necklace 2 years ago for my b-day and I wear that everyday along with the pearl ring and earring set I got for xmas last year. We have a new video camera and digital one too so I don't need those. about a month ago, he randomly bought me an mp3 player I had been asking for. I joked that he just gave me the only christmas present i needed WAY too early.

I did casually and jokingly mention that a jewelry store in the mall next to us was going out of business the other day and he seemed interested (asked me where it was and the name of it. he then told me he talked to his sister about what to get me there). yesterday, he asked me what type of jewelry I wanted-I didnt want to flat out tell him my engagement ring already so I said "well honey you've pretty much bought me almost all the jewelry I need." then pointed out everything that I wear on a daily basis. I then told him I never wear watches or bracelets b/c they bother me.

SO that being said, how do I go about subtly hinting to him that the ring would be nice but also letting him know that I don't really have any other wants/needs/wishes for christmas?!!

he does so much for me and is so sweet to me that i DON'T want to come across rude or selfish.

sorry so long and thanks!!!!

UPS package handling interview at 11PM Urgent question about what to wear!?

Okay I applied for a UPS package handling position, I am in college so this job is perfect right now. I really want it, I was thinking dress real clean suited up but then at the end of the online application it said,

"""Remember to wear casual slacks or jeans and a sturdy closed-toe shoe in order to tour our facility. Please do not bring any personal items such as cell phones or pagers. Also do not wear any jewelry articles such as rings, watches, necklaces or earrings.""

So In my eyes that means were jeans sturdy shoes and maybe a collar shirt? like a polo or a Izod shirt? I am REALLY confused am I supposed to dress up or just dress like a college student? or am I suppose to dress like jeans with shirt tucked in! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
At the moment I plan to wear black shoes ( work shoes * it said sturdy toed*) a nice set of blue nautica jeans well ironed. and a dark green Izod collar shirt Im not sure if I am going to tuck it in or not.

Congrads but don't get too excited If your not driving trucks @UPS ( Under Paid Slaves ) then you are not going 2B making any money. My boyfriend works there as a 2nd job because he doesn't really make any money working there & trust me U will get that response from alot of people. The benefits are U get paid every week & your work short hours, no one can lift boxes for 8hours straight so U work about 4-5hrs a day.
So to answer your question: Dress like a College Student..
Jean <> Nice Button Up Shirt<> Clean shoes

After that find all your old clothes U don't wear & hate and that will be your UPS work uniform.

Good Luck!!!!
