I don't want to spend money on a travel case for jewelry. So I was wondering if someone could give me tips on making a case or special ways to pack jewelry so I won't lose it and it won't get tangled. Thanks for your help.

i took a strip of fabric and sewed around the edges to finish it off. make sure that is 4 inches longer than your longest neclace clasped together. decide how many neclaces and earrings you want. i take and lay them out on the fabric before i cut it placing the neclaces in a row with the matching earrings above them you can also make it longer if you have matching bracelets and rings. just lay them down below the neclaces so it would line up earrings-neclaces-braclets-rings and measure to where you have 4 inches around the sides. marke where the neclaces and braclets and rings are. take them off and finish the edges with either fray check or by sewing. then sew loops of fabric were the tops of the neclases and bracelets were. one loop for each one works best. then sew on ribbon where the rings go. then you are done. put the earings through the material and put the backs on like on a earring tree. clasp the neclaces through the loops and do the same for the bracelets. tie the ribbons around through the ring where your finger goes through. and you are ready to go. just roll it up starting at the end where the earings are ending with the rings. tie off with ribbon or rubber bands. you can also attach a hook at the top if you want to hang up on a wall. hope this helps. my grandma traveled all over the world and she did this to save on room in her luggage.
